Gals Night Out
its going to be a very very interesting time.
Last nite was our Gals' Nite Out Meeting.
Pastor Mitch raised a lot of pertinent questions.
a lot of issues
and i know the gals themselves will raise alot of them.
but the few issues that stood out quite clearly is the idea of dressing.
especially how a gal/lady/woman shld dress in God's House.
- the answer is modest. because you are in GOD's HOUSE. you are in His Presence. you are in His Dwelling Place.
It's no longer about u. it's about GOD.
"i'm coming back to the heart of worship, when its ALL about YOU, its ALL about YOU, Jesus. i'm sorry Lord for the thing i've made it when it's ALL about YOU. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU Jesus."
Almost everyone had a bone to pick with that word 'Modest'. Define Modesty. the word itself means different things to each one. what is modest to you may not be modest to another.
So How?
simple? i think, if it stumbles another brother, would you still do it?
but the arguement is - if i look good in something, why shldnt i wear it? after all my conscience is clear before God. so it leads back to the thought of self.
You before God, You before Others, You before Yourself.
Pastor Mitch kept pressing home the idea that whatever it is - It is between you and God.
He asked us to think about being examples.
hmm, i think that might be another challenge in itself.
oh ya, there was the issue of double standards for the gals.
that's another issue will surface during GNO.
so the question is ....

You dress what you are...
