GNO
i was right,
Gals' Nite Out was very interesting.
a pity i cld only make it thurs evening.
i've never seen, heard Pastor mitch laughed so much
and i thought he did a very good job
of handling us.
esp when it came to senstive gal's stuff. haha
Maybe cos he is a pastor, we are not so hard on him as a guy.
but if he were any guy, i am sure things wld be have been different.
haha - female part related cancer and labour pains.
that was a hoot. even he had a good laugh.
ok laughs aside, the lesson was about having a gentle and quiet spirit.
this doesnt mean that we all turn into little doormats and just let everyone stomp all over us.
Pastor Mitch was refering to the inner strength that God gives.
i was thankful that Pastor Mitch was direct and cut straight to the point. there wasnt any beating about the bush when he gave us some examples. and strangely there wasnt any awkward tension in the room when he mentioned so called taboo words like "sleep around" and "rape" and whatever gals dont normally discuss wid guys wad more a pastor.
The lesson was simple and to the point
- A thinker first before reacting
- A smart gal who knows how to say NO!
- A lady who responds in the right way
- A lady who knows how to keep her emotions in check
Pastor Mitch: To me there's nothing more beautiful than a lady who knows how to keep her emotions in check. to me that's beauty...
haha :D
oh ya, we also discussed EXternal beauty Vs INternal beauty.
when asked which is more important, everyone will say ..... Internal beauty, of course la..
but ... (the moment i was waiting for but couldnt believe it still....) haha,
We are suppose to take the time to beautify ourselves. External beauty is just as important. i wont say more important because its not REALLY!.
Pastor Mitch: Gals, young ladies, you should take the time to beautify yourself, you should dress well, be presentable, put on makeup if you have to, of course dont overdo it. but i am not saying that you should spend all your money on clothes.
and you know what PAstor Mitch did --- heheh.. he gave us some 'makeup' tips. i am quite sure he took them right off the internet but hey, he got my attention and the attention of my gals too, so it worked. hehe, it was funny hearing things like "how to remove Mascara (hecldntpronounceit, muchlesshaveanideawhatmascarais?) without smudging something?" or "did you know you can soften hardened nail polished by putting it in the fridge?"coming from him.. haha :D
Pastor Mitch thank you for a great time.
thank you for taking the time to bond with us
thank you for workin so hard on those messages
thank you for being so open that we did not feel that awkward
thank you for talkin to us as ladies and not as gals.
thank you! :D
