Junior week
its been a wonderful time at Junior Camp. just learning and interacting with the children.. i am nt a camp officer yet but a helper... it was still fun tho.. hard work but lotsa fun.. i cant wait to get baptised then i can help serve as a camp officer.. :)
the theme for tis year's camp is CHARACTER.
to help us remember the lessons learnt, the pastors came up with the acroynms FATSO.
F - FEELINGS (feelings can control ur character)
A - ACTIONS (actions define ur charater)
T - THOUGHTS (thoughts influence ur feelings and actions which in turn control ur character)
S - SPIRITUAL (how God and ur relationship with him affect ur character)
O - OUTCOME (after taking the above into consideration, what will ur character be like? gd or bad?)
aft our long day, 2 camp officers Tr Aileen and Tr Cheng Kee gave us some 'vespers'. just some verses to comtemplate about.. the first nite was about faith and duty and 'for the sake of', faith and perserverance, service and potential. wed nite was interesting cos the Trs realli encouraged and uplifted my heart. i was very touched when they spoke about not just being helpers and serving but also we are serving alongside the officers and Pastors. was even more touched when i heard some P6 kids proclaiming out loud that they wan to be helpers next year. the word cheng kee used was.. HEROS, to the kids, we arent just helpers but their heros... haha.. i cant imagine that a simple phase or word can bring so much joy to my heart.. thks...
to the pple (helpers esp) thks for this opportunity to work with you guys even tho i am away for AV most of tHe time. u guys are realli a fine bunch of pple.. lets strive on for the sake of... thank you.. it was realli encouraging!
to Moses and Glenda, great job for organising the helpers. tough as it was.. it worked in the end.. be glad that at least it is over nw.. thank you!
